All instructors are certified lifeguards with CPR and first aid training.

With over 25 years of surfing experience, instructor Kai Dilling is dedicated to helping students of all ages and abilities safely learn to surf and to appreciate a sport that can become a healthy, relaxing love of a lifetime. Kai is a native to the area, former middle school science teacher and has surfed internationally and competed in amateur local and national events.

Hi! I'm Madison, and this will be my third year as an instructor at Sol Surfers. I was born in Mt. Pleasant, but I learned to surf while living in Virginia Beach. I've been surfing for eight years now. I'll be a sophomore at USC this fall where I'm hoping to major in Journalism and minor in Spanish. My three passions are surfing, traveling, and USC football! I'm looking forward to this summerÉ it's my favorite time of year.

Nate Thompson has been an instructor for Sol Surfers for three years. Being a native to Isle of Palms, SC he has always had a love for surfing as well as teaching others what an exciting hobby it is. Nate has surfed in many different areas along the East Coast including Maine, New Jersey, and Florida and attended the Sol Surfers camp himself when he was younger.

I have lived my entire life in Mount Pleasant and on our local beaches. I have been surfing since I was 3 yrs. old and still pursue surfing passionately ever since. I am a graduate of Wando High School and will be attending CofC in the fall. I plan on surfing for the rest of my life and hope to show people the joy I take in the sport of surfing through Sol Surfers Surf Camp.

Hannah started out as a camper at Sol Surfers and has been surfing for six years. In 2006, she suffered a near fatal surfing accident that has only pushed her to further promote safety in the water. This will be Hannah's 3rd year as an instructor for Sol Surfers, and she will be a freshman at the University of Florida in the fall.

My name is William Lee and I am 18 years old. I graduated from Wando High school this year and plan on going to Clemson. I have lived in Charleston my whole life and have surfed on Folly for many years. I have also surfed in North Carolina, Florida, Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Barbados. I love being on the beach and hanging out.

My name is Megan Davis. I am 19 years old and a sophomore at Clemson University. This is my second summer with Sol SurferŐs Surf Camp and I can't think of anything else I would rather do with my time. I have been surfing for eight years and have been competing with Eastern Surfing Association for five years. On top of surfing, I love just about anything outdoors.
